Eat Red Meat :-) You will LOVE this...

"Grass-fed beef and other animal foods. As opposed to traditional, grain-fed livestock, meat that comes from animals fed grass also contains anti-inflammatory omega-3s, but in lower concentrations than coldwater fish. Free-range livestock that graze in pastures build up higher levels of omega-3s. Meat from grain-fed animals has virtually no omega-3s and plenty of saturated fat."

The same information can be found in a plethora of great reputable sources.   This is exciting news because I LOVE LOVE LOVE a good hamburger or a good rib-eye cut of steak.  YUM...  I'd still eat more fish and chicken than cow and pig because they have a much higher concentration of healthy fats.  ESPECIALLY if you have risk factors for heart attack or stroke.  Ya know?

Be a selfless part of the solution for people you care about and put your selfish things away

You can SELL people, convince and persuade, or you can SHARE with people the things you're doing that's changing your life because you care about them and want them to get healthier, wealthier, and feel better to. That's what coaches who are signing up other coaches regularly are doing, SHARING. Don't get into this Team Beachbody opportunity with me to sell! Get into it because there are people you care about who you want to live happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives. Can you handle that and are you selfless enough to be part of a solution people need? If you're not a conduit can you plug people into something that can change there lives? If you're life isn't already changing for the better then what are YOU doing to achieve? Hopefully you still have dreams that aren't beaten down by the economy so badly that you gave up on them. You can qualify yourself for the Team beachbody opportunity just by asking yourself "Is what I'm doing now going to get me to where I want to be?" If the answer is no then you NEED to change the vehicle. A few years ago I changed the vehicle. Two and a half years later I "fired my boss". A few months after that I bought my first home in CASH, no mortgage. Three years ago I was poverty stricken! Now the most exciting part of my life is watching others grow who I have helped. If now is not the time for you then if you keep doing what you're doing are you ever going to have the time? You've got to change the vehicle my friends. If you're ready to for this... If you're ready to change your life... If you're motivated to help others and not to SELL others... Let me know. You can find my phone number in the info tab of my facebook profile or you can email me.

Change the vehicle nothing changes if you don't change.

Liquid Gold: A Beachbody® Look at Olive Oil By Sasha Papovich

The Greek poet Homer called it "liquid gold." It's mentioned in the Bible, the Talmud, and the Koran. Greek mythology includes the story of the goddess Athena winning great praise from Zeus for her useful invention of the olive tree. For millennia, the olive tree has been a symbol of peace, purification, and good health. And in recent years, we've all heard the good news that the high-fat oil of the olive fruit is actually good for you. Is it possible that olive oil merits the reverence of ancient Mediterranean culture and the respect of the medical establishment of the West? And if so, what's the real scoop on how to get the most benefit and enjoyment from it?

Olive oil is the only vegetable oil that is created simply by pressing the raw material—in this case, olives. Extra virgin is the best quality because it comes from the first pressing of the olives and is therefore the least processed, which matters to those of us interested in olive oil for its health benefits.

Recent research does indeed show that olive oil is a medicinal powerhouse. More than just an improvement over animal-fat-based oils, antioxidant-rich olive oil can actually protect against degenerative diseases like heart disease, high blood pressure, and cancer. The FDA has officially credited olive oil with decreasing the risk of coronary heart disease. Olive oil's role in the prevention of bone density loss, diabetes, and obesity is being explored.

And now a little more about those health benefits . . .
Olive oil is composed largely of monounsaturated fatty acids—sometimes called good fats. Monounsaturated fatty acids keep HDL—the so-called good cholesterol—levels up and LDL, the so-called bad cholesterol, levels down. LDL is the main source of cholesterol buildup in the arteries, and HDL actually works to clear cholesterol from the blood.

The nutrition community is somewhat divided right now as to whether saturated fat and its effect on cholesterol is truly an issue. If you happen to be on the pro-saturated-fat side, olive oil still offers you a host of benefits, primarily because it contains natural antioxidants—polyphenols—which prevent the formation of certain free radicals that cause cell destruction within the body. Free radicals are linked to heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and the general degenerative process of aging.

Recent studies show that olive oil's polyphenols also inhibit another one of the processes that contribute to heart disease. This means that not only do the monounsaturated fats in olive oil resist the plaque-forming process that leads to heart disease, but the antioxidants actually help to inhibit that process as well. When people with high cholesterol levels removed the saturated fat from their diets and replaced it with olive oil, their LDL cholesterol levels dropped by 18 percent. Another study reported that 2 tablespoons a day of olive oil added to an otherwise unchanged diet resulted in significant drops in total and LDL cholesterol. These impressive results can be understood as a by-product of the monounsaturated fats AND of the high levels of polyphenols that are present in olive oil.

But wait, there's more!
Research on olive oil and the symptoms of diabetes has also shown that a diet rich in olive oil helps to prevent belly-fat accumulation and the insulin resistance seen after the high-carbohydrate meals. Anti-inflammatory substances linked to the monounsaturated fats in olive oil can help reduce the severity of arthritis symptoms, and may be able to prevent or reduce the severity of asthma. And early studies reveal that the phenols in olive oil can lessen the inflammation-mediated bone loss involved in osteoporosis.

How much is enough?
So now that we're confident that olive oil is good for the heart and is likely good for many other degenerative or inflammatory conditions, we can look at how to go about adding this nutritional elixir to our diets. Experts agree that at least 2 tablespoons (23 grams) of olive oil a day is needed for any of these preventive purposes. While it's true that olive oil adds great benefit regardless of what else you're eating, you can benefit most by substituting olive oil for less healthy fats, rather than just adding more olive oil to your diet.
The most important point about usage, however, is not how much olive oil we consume a day, but what kind of olive oil we use and how we store it.

Olive oil shopping
All olive oil contains monounsaturated fat and phenols, but the amounts vary wildly depending upon the type of olive oil and how it is handled. Simply put: If you're interested in the health benefits of olive oil, don't buy anything less than extra virgin olive oil! All types of olive oil contain monounsaturated fat, but extra virgin olive oils are the least processed forms, which means that their phenol (antioxidant) content is the highest.

Just as important as the purity of the olive oil you buy is its storage both before and after you get it home. Olive oil can become rancid from exposure to light and heat, but even low levels of light and heat exposure that don't cause rancidity can cause the breakdown of phenols, thereby canceling out many of the health-enhancing benefits. Research has shown that consuming olive oil that has been degraded by light and heat is simply not as beneficial, so do your best to control for light and heat both before and after you buy the olive oil.

Look for olive oil that is sold in dark-tinted bottles, since the packaging will help protect the purity and nutritional value of the oil. (Research shows that after just 2 months' exposure to light, antioxidant levels had dropped so much the olive oil could no longer be classified as extra virgin.)

Ask your grocer how long the olive oil has been out; purchase olive oil that has spent the minimum time sitting on the shelf by checking the expiration date or by choosing the bottles at the back of the shelf, as the newest ones often reside there.
Buy your olive oil in smaller containers and store it in the dark.

How to care for and cook with your olive oil
Once you get it home, make sure the oil is stored in a cool area, away from any direct or indirect contact with heat. You can leave a small bottle out at room temperature, refrigerating the rest and refilling your daily-use bottle every week or so. (Refrigerated olive oil will solidify and turn slightly cloudy, but will become clear and liquid as it returns to room temperature.)

Add olive oil to foods immediately after cooking to get the most nutritional benefit. All cooking oils have a "smoke point" at which they begin to break down, thereby compromising taste and, in the case of olive oil, phenols. Although different sources report various grades of olive oil as having various smoke points, it's generally accepted that extra virgin olive oil has a much lower smoke point (anywhere from 200 degrees to the high 300s). If you do want to cook with olive oil (which is perfectly fine and, if done right, delicious), buy a separate bottle of regular or "light" oil, which has a much higher smoke point, upward of 400 degrees.

Instead of serving butter, fill a small condiment dish with extra virgin olive oil for use on bread, rolls, potatoes, or other vegetables. For more flavor, try adding a few drops of balsamic vinegar or a sprinkling of your favorite spices to the olive oil. You can also drizzle your daily serving of 2 tablespoons of olive oil over just about anything after it's been cooked: a morning frittata, your lunchtime salad (mixed with balsamic or a flavored vinegar), or your dinner vegetables, pasta, fish, or chicken.

Trendy superfoods may come and go, but olive oil has been here since the days of the ancient Greeks, and today's medical research validates its long-lived reputation. Whether you're primarily interested in cardiovascular health or protection against degenerative diseases, adding olive oil to your daily diet is delicious and healthful, so drizzle it into your nutrition plan today.

Overeating Costs over lifetime: $258,000

America isn't healthy: These statistics haven't convinced too many people to eat less, exercise more or just add more fruits and vegetables to their diets (In fact, 3 out of 4 Americans will be overweight or obese by 2020), maybe these statistics, which show how significantly POORER you will be, will inspire you: Over a lifetime, obesity costs $4,879 and $2,646 a year for women and men, respectively. Tack on the value of lost life (8-10 years) and it's even more dramatic : $8,365 and $6,518. Plus, you're up against weight discrimination at the office -- this is most prevalent among women. In fact, when white females gain 64 pounds, their wages drop 9%, according to a study by Cornell University.

If you are in a mess and you can see yourself in the mess... See yourself out of the mess and thriving in a very positive way if you just make a few changes and repeat them every day forming new habits in your life. Watch what happens! It's exciting stuff :-) Don't stay in the mess you can get out of it!

Worst phone call ever UNDERSCORES how Badly I and others like me are NEEDED

So I was calling about new Internet service in my new home this evening... One lady I talked to was reading from a script, they all were and every one of them sounded depressed with their job, but this one was the most depressed sounding script reader I think I had ever heard on the phone before. It didn't matter what I wanted and what I didn't want she was required to read off special offers and promos even if it had nothing to do with my stated purpose for calling. So I just let her read them off as I felt sorry for her knowing full well the call was most likely being recorded and that she was being monitored hard core by her nazi superiors. So what did I do? Most people do not have the power to help her. BUT I DO!!!!! I sent her a life line.

I said something like this, "You are doing a great job I really appreciate what you're doing. I know you hate your job and reading those horrible scripts and I know you're being recorded so let me just say this.. I use to be in a situation similar to yours a few years ago and I got out of it. I feel so much better about myself and the contribution I'm making to the world today and I was wondering if you'd like to look at what I'm doing. I know you can't answer me or even talk to me about it over the phone so let me give you something very easy to remember, passionfitness.info and what I would like you to do is go to my website passionfitness.info when you get home out of the prying eye of your employer. You will find my name, number, and email address. Remember passionfitness.info and get in touch with me on your time I would be honored if I could rescue you from your job with those terrible scripts you have to read day in and day out."

She quickly went back to her script with another offer that had nothing to do with the internet service I was calling about. I said passionfitness.info remember it. Then she read me another offer, and another, I made sure she'd remember it...

These scripts are so bad and so pushy toward the individuals who have to read them that they are actually required to read all of the promos even if we say we don't want to hear them. These scripts are so unbelievably high pressure to the individuals required to read these scripts that they are actually required to throw offer, after offer, after offer, after offer til the consumer either says "YES" or hangs up on them. It's THAT bad. My sympathy gos out to employers in those set of circumstances.

My hope is that this lady remembers my passionfitness.info website, visits on her time, and calls me on her time so she can eventually get out of that terrible job and do the things she wants to do.

This phone call helped me renew my sense of purpose in helping people not only get healthy, but in living free of the b.s. of a Job. I also need more people to HELP ME accomplish this. Don't you want to help people who are drowning??? If you're not in a position to do that then you've got to change the vehicle. The lady on the phone has also got to change the vehicle or she will be reading those terrible scripts day in and day out for the rest of her life. That is a VERY depressing future.

If you want to help people I strongly recommend that you change the vehicle and sign up with me. My website is http://passionfitness.info/ in case you haven't caught that by now. Write / call me and do NOT be afraid to tell me "No I am not interested. We do not have to go to the next step". Can you tell me no you're not interested? If you can be strong enough to do that then I invite you to get in touch with me so that I can ask you a couple questions and show you what I'm doing.

Opportunity in events, educational, inspirational and social functions

I don't know what you're big opportunity is, Team Beachbody or otherwise, but if you're not taking opportunities like these to "sharpen your ax" then you're robbing yourself of your dreams.  And because you need great health to be at, perform at, and feel your best I think everyone would benefit enormously from the Team Beachbody opportunity.  Most people won't, but most people will sadly keep chugging along at the death grips of the economy and that's one of the mysteries I will not try and figure out because I don't have the energy for that.

I just got back from an event that was educational, enlightening, inspirational, and there was a large social element to it as well.  I'm living free from the clutches of a day job, the economy, and time constraints typically associated with being a slave to those two variables as 95% of Americans are.

I invited a LOT of people to the Team beachbody summer of success tour in chicago over the weekend.  Only a few showed, most did not.  To those desiring some kind of change in your life because maybe you're not very happy in your current situation and maybe you're behind on your dreams and promises etc...   If you showed up then you know how valuble this experiene was in learning how to "set a better sail" so the next few years can be totally different than the last few years of your life.  If you didn't show up because you let little things get in the way of big opportunity you just robbed yourself.  The information we got from this was so powerful that I truly believe with all my being that the theif on the street who's after your wallet pales in comparison to the theif in your mind who's after your promises.  It's not the economy or your job keeping you from creating the change in your life you desire and that all of us see hinted at in your facebook updates.  It's YOU.  I realize some lines will be exposed in the sand but those lines will also promote some of you out there who will write me sometime later just to say thank you because you absolutely needed to hear this to get motivated to begin TODAY to create the daily actions that will change everything for you in years to come.  THOSE are the people I'm writing this for and those are the people I'm serving in my capacity as a team beachbody coach and as a fellow human being.

I may sound a little nuts to mainstream thinking but I'm glad I'm just nuts enough to step up, own my life, own my income, own my destiny, and to have my freedom thanks to an impactful service that I give to thousands of people which will soon be tens of thousands of people and someday a million people in an effort to help them live healthier, happy, and more fulfilling lives while being kind to myself.

There were only 300 people in attendance over this weekends event.  For chicago that is really weak especially considering there were so many more who truly needed this opportunity to get the information but instead they let little things get in there way.  But, less than 3 years ago we only had less than 60. This weekend we had a little over 300.  We are growing and we are growing the RIGHT way.  Via hard work and some discipline that will sustain a thriving growth over time instead of a flash that eventually burns out as anything without some hard work and discipline does.  The same can be said for any diet or fitness program that doesnt include some hard work and discipline.  Magic potion people and pill poppers think about that.

Team Beachbody is coming back to Chicago November 5th and 6th.  You have plenty of notice to make arrangements.   Dont let little things get in the way of BIG opportunity.

See some of you at the next one november 5th and 6th 2010!  Most of you I wont see there but only 5% of americans get ahead and live the life of there dreams instead of building someone elses dream.  I'm speaking to YOU 5% :-)   See you there!

Tom
p.s. I'll be posting more about it as I get more info just know to keep nov. 5th and 6th free.

Exposing lines in the sand

"If you sow you will reap."   That's a really straight forward line.  Which side of that line do you choose to be on?  Choice!  We are autonomous!  We are the only species gifted with logic, reasoning, personal philosophy, and ultimately making choices based on our personal philosophy.

When someone says reaping is reserved for those who sow not for those who ONLY need they are not drawing a new line in the sand.  They are exposing one that already exists in the universe.  Some people may not be very happy with it and may even take offense but that's there right.  It's also there right to ignore simple universal laws (that we did not set up) and continue living a life far short of there dreams.  We didn't create these lines or the "set up" of the universe.  As long as we are guests here on this planet the only thing we can do, if we want to achieve something, is work with the set up.  Most of us fight the set up instead of learning to cooperate with it and most of us are broke and unhappy in our lives.  If you want to achieve more then get involved with the set up, learn to cooperate with the positive side of things to help it along and you can literally begin to shape your life the way you want it.  Let the mysteries be mysteries and focus on the variables you CAN control or at least have some influence on.  Don't be dismayed at negative things that happen that you have no control over you'll burn yourself out!  There are plenty of opportunities out there to help you create the life you want.

I'm exposing a line in the sand with the Team Beachbody opportunity that I'm inviting YOU to join me in.  I already know the general statistic is that only 5% of you have the guts and desire to step up and own your life.  I'm not trying to please everyone and I know this opportunity isn't for everyone which is the way it should be.  Anyone can do it, but most people will not.  It's one of those mysteries of the universe that I have no control over so there is absolutely no benefit in trying to figure that out.  If YOU are in that 5% willing to exercise just a couple of new daily disciplines so the next years of your life can be totally different than the last few years then you're the person I'd be honored to meet and talk to about the business of serving people while being kind to yourself.  It's not about being in the 5% or the 95% financially.  It's about living a good life that will be defined respectively by the individual.  But let's get real here.  It's much easier to live a good life if you are financially free NOT because of the money, but because the money is the mechanism that buys you your time so you can spend your time with your family, taking care of someone you love, to go back to school, to give back more to your community which is the most noblest, whatever it is that gives your life purpose according to your terms.  If you're broke you can't do that.

Here is what the Team Beachbody opportunity is called...  It's called an elightened - intelligent self interest.  To give or to serve starts the receiving process.  People who are not enlightened will skip over the giving part and try to recieve first.  That's a selfish self interest instead of an elightened intelligent self interest.  If you get that and want to serve many while being kind to yourself please write or call me.  I NEED more people like yourself to eventually end the obesity crisis in our country.  2/3rds of over 300 MILLION people are over weight and our kids are sadly included in this now.  I have no time for the selfish self interested people.  If you have a deep desire to help people while being kind to yourself call / write me Today.  For most it starts part time because of a job situation and other responsibilities but this is something you can start today and work part time around your schedule til you build it up enough to have the FREEDOM to fire your boss and do this full time if you want to.  It's a pathway that gets you your time and freedom and if you don't get on that path however slow it may have to be at first then you'll get your time and freedom.  It's the best thing I've ever done and the most gratifying to know I had some part in drastically improving peoples lives.

There are two kinds of people for the purpose of this example...  There are those who view lack of time and money as reason NOT to get started in a Team Beachbody opportunity and then there are those who view lack of time and  as all the more reason To actually GET STARTED in a Team Beachbody opportunity.  I was the latter!  Thank god that I was or I'd still be broke and citing the same time and money constraints.  Which one of those two kinds of people do you think pertains to the 5%?  95% of people do not choose the latter they view there money and time constraints as reason not to get started in a Team Beachbody opportunity or ANY opportunity  for that matter.  95% of people are broke!  95% of people have no time!  95% of people have no money!  95% of people arent spending there time doing what they want to be doing!  But 5% are!  I'm not saying Team Beachbody is the ONLY vehicle out there that can get you to where you want to go but I have very well founded strong beliefs that it is the BEST because I did it and I know people from all walks of life with all types of personalities who have done it also!  Your personality, your past, your circumstances do not matter!  All it takes is some guts and desire and you can begin to shape your life any which way you like starting now.

If you need to make some changes and you're still waiting for your ship to arrive it's not coming.  It's already here docked and waiting for you to get started with setting a better sale.  But the longer you let your ship sit there in that dock, waiting for someday, the more rust your ship will accumulate making it more difficult to actually get started.

If you need to make some changes and have a desire to help other people write me / give me a call and lets get started.  If another coach invited you to read this then get in touch with the coach who invited you and say, "I'm ready to get started SHOW ME what to do".

Coach and Customer Testimonies
Multi-Benefit Stories

I honestly could not believe the difference in my energy level. I also could not believe that my sweet cravings were gone. I really noticed it over the holidays when the sweets were all around me the temptation really was not there—I lost 3 lbs over the Holiday. I actually crave healthy food. It helped so much on regularity, which I have always had a problem with. I actually feel the difference if I miss a shake one day; my body craves it. It is delicious and satisfying, I feel full after I drink it, and because I feel so full I tend to forget to snack in between meals. —Paula, NV

Wow, I would have to say the energy! And I love my 'clear' head feeling. I used to feel like I was walking around in a fog! And my hair and nails! Just crazy. I used to get a haircut every eight week;, now it's every four or five! Even my hair dresser asked what I was using to make my hair grow! Now of course he's a Shakeology customer! —Deb, CA

My focus and productivity at work has increased so well that my boss is now drinking it with me at work for lunch, and he's seen the same improvement. It's amazing to also see the changes in other people that I have turned on to Shakeology. It's simply amazing. —David, OK

Cholesterol/Heart Health
My husband was already drinking Shakeology, losing weight, lowering his cholestrol by 90 points, and feeling great. —Lois, KY

The positive improvement it has made on my life. In January 2009 I was told by my cardiologist that I would need a heart valve replacement at the age of 40. 2009 has been the most stressful year for my family and I. The only consistent change I made was weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight with Shakeology. In December 2009 my cardiologist was blown away with his findings of my heart starting to "repair" itself. I was told that if I keep doing what I am doing, then the replacement will be delayed until I am 50. Keep in mind that the medication that was prescribed to me, I never took. This is all weight loss from P90X and maintaining a healthy weight with Shakeology. If that isn't surprising for me and my family, nothing is. THANK YOU! —Chad, NE
