“I will try it out and see how I do” = ultimate failure

“I will try it out and see how I do”

Why would someone go into independent business ownership with that philosophy? Is it because they are afraid of trying and failing? Is it more acceptable for someone to try with half measures and fail than it is to give 100% and fail? Of course it is. But, it is also a road block to success in any business, period. Winners in business are not frail people. If they were frail they would not be winners precisely because they had the guts to give 100%. Do you have guts? Unless there is some logistical reason, such as falling into a permanent coma, then there is never a good reason to give yourself the opportunity to fail once you decide to become an independent business owner.

When you become an independent business owner realize the possibility for winning. Winning is only possible because failure is also possible. Without the possibility of failing then winning is a certainty. If you choose to be somewhere in the middle just hanging out on the fence by “trying it out to see how you do” then you will always fall to the losing side of the fence because in order to win you have to have guts and take action while laziness and half measured efforts foster failure.

There are people helping hundreds or thousands of other people and making millions doing what they love and then there are other people who attract no one to their business or very few because they made ULTIMATE failure an option. I say “ultimate failure” meaning before you give yourself a chance to succeed you fire yourself by quitting a business that belongs to you. Day to day failure is something completely different from ultimate failure. Day to day failure is failing your way to success. You cannot learn and grow yourself without failing day to day.

I sponsor some who say, “I’m going to do this thing and be great at it!” and guess what? They are making money doing something they love. I sponsor some who against my advice will say, “I will try it out and see how I do” and guess what? They are not my sponsors who are making money or helping too many other people. Some of them will see the light so to speak and come around, and some may not. I guarantee some of you will join my organization with the right philosophies and do great and some of you will join with the wrong philosophy and not do so great. The interesting thing about that is both kinds of people will have read this same exact article presented in the same exact way and in the same exact light. So then why are there two very different outcomes? It depends on the individual person. Beyond that I cannot answer it because I do not know.

The moral of the article is this… For the love of yourself and others around you do not give ultimate failure an option or in my experience of observation that is exactly what will become of your business. The fact that others with the right philosophies are winning should profoundly impress upon you the possibilities of what you can attract toward your business if you simply do not sell yourself short. If you decide to take up the ultimate responsibility and reap the reward of personal autonomy and freedom by being a multi level business owner I want you to succeed! That success for me personally means obtaining health, wealth, time, and complete personal autonomy and freedom all just for doing something that I LOVE doing. I want to impress that concept and that possibility upon YOU so that hopefully you will NOT give yourself the option to ultimately fail in the end.

Now take hold of your life and go after what you want while avoiding all reservations that give way to a more acceptability of ultimate failure! Choose to Win and then do it! If you are interested in my specific opportunity and the ideal person that I enjoy sponsoring then go to my Independent BeachBody business page. If you see a possible match between you and myself get in touch with me and we will set up an appointment to talk and determine if we are indeed a good match.

Be well and good luck,

Tom – Independent Winner and BeachBody Business Owner

An objectionable objection…. Multi level marketing?

“You’re not going to do something silly like multi-level network marketing are you?”

This is the kind of objection that I love hearing because it is so easy to overcome and a great opportunity to really open up someones eyes in a positive way. I personally don’t get this objection much but others do get it a lot so I want to talk about it and point out why it really is a silly and baseless objection to have.

When people hear things like “network marketing”, “down line”, “up line”, and “multi-level” they attach maybe a bad experience they had or one they heard about from a trusted friend.

Here is some breaking news for a lot of you and it is NOT your fault if no one ever taught you this before. Odds are enormous that you work for someone else. If you have an employer then by definition you have an up line and you are indeed already involved in a multi level organization. The difference between you and a business owner is that you are the “bottom feeder” so to speak. When you become an independent business owner and you begin recruiting or sponsoring new people into your organization then you will always be at the very top of your organization. As an added bonus you will probably also have an up line that you are NOT employed by, but is available to you for support and guidance Being an independent business owner in a multi level structure is a win-win situation every time.

What does it take to be a Great Network Marketer?

My friend Lisa asked me a pretty basic question that doesn't really get asked much, but she asked it and it sparked an idea for a new article to write. My friend Lisa said, "I know BeachBody is great, the products are great and the services are great and all that but how do you get the word out and market it all?

My answer to Lisa over the phone was a little different than my article here because I was answering a question in a specific context but it certainly inspired a new article. So here is a shout out to Lisa for asking so that I could answer it for you AND so that I could be inspired to write my next piece of literature that other people will hopefully benefit from :)

Ideally 3 characteristics have to come together to be a great network marketer or great in business, period. Here they are in no particular order of importance.

(takes a huge deep breath!)

1.) Be personable. Be the kind of person that people are attracted to for who you are on the inside. In other words do not be someone you are not. Don't put on your "sales hat" when you talk to people because it will turn them off for the same reason it would turn you off. Create value; attract people to you like a normal business. It's easier to learn because you get to be YOU in the equation. Focus on building relationships. Build a rapport with someone before you begin telling them about the opportunity or the about the product or about the services. Come across as a solution provider before you provide the solution. Sell yourself before you try to sell a product. An important component to this is to simply be yourself as I mentioned a few sentences ago. So many people are afraid of network marketing because they believe they have to be someone they are not in order to sell stuff. A lot of network marketers teach that strategy and I personally do not agree with it because I would never buy anything from them. But, and I cannot neglect to mention this, while you are being yourself you cannot be afraid to step outside of your comfort zones to develop yourself even if it's just in baby steps.

Be who you innately are but do your due diligence to seek out the knowledge to develop yourself so that you can really begin to harness all of the talents that you have, all of the talents that you have that you didn't even know you had and then you will begin to realize all of the potential that you have to do great things and have amazing positive impacts on other peoples lives including your own. If you build a mutual respect and trust with someone, then when they come to you for a solution to a problem, or some advice, or a vehicle to reach their dreams they will listen to what you have to offer them. In this business it is much more fun to have people seek you out rather than YOU seeking out people for your business.

Pitching is ok from a conversational value based way. It's an art and a skill. There is a difference between pitching from a selfish mindset to pitching in a selfless value based solution providing mindset. Until you get that particular value model you will struggle in all areas of business.

2.) Provide attractive value! In the end it's the products or services or both that has to be valuable. If you and your down line is not moving product or volume then the business may not make it down the road if product volume never picks up. You don't have to move lots of product and volume right away but eventually you should be moving more product and volume as you get better and that is the key! Most of the time it's the people who get into network marketing without having any experience or knowledge about it before hand who end up succeeding! This is because they are teachable and willing to learn! The ones without a thirst for knowledge and without a willingness for self development are left frustrated and wondering why they aren't making it while others are. Network marketing opportunities do not have any biases or prejudices against anyone. We look for progression not perfection. Fail your way to success. That philosophy is enough for a whole other article which I am sure I will write someday but it does tie a little bit into this one.

You can be the most likable person in history and probably sell a mediocre product because you are liked and trusted but if the product is mediocre and doesn't really get the job done then word gets out through your customers own form of network marketing and product volume sharply decreases. Almost all network marketing companies and independent business owners go belly up within their first year of business because the product or service does not have sustainable attractive value. I continually read various statistics that cite anywhere from 90% to 99% of all network marketers fail within the first year!

This is where I think team BeachBody is the best solution in the world for failure. This is my personal choice and with very good substantial reason. The products get the job done. They don't just get it done; they get it done amazingly well. Sure every company out there will make claim to the same and my only rebuttal to that is this. Look at my own very personal transformation story. My results are HUGE. I went from skinny straggly stick boy to muscles and an ideal example of optimum fitness all in 90 days. I have the before and after pictures and statistics to prove it so there is no denying these products are amazing. I also happen to know that there are tens of thousands of other people with amazing team BeachBody style documented transformation stories I am friends with several of them.

The value of these products, the value that I place on them when I talk about them to other people totally and completely takes care of adding over all sustainable attractive value to BeachBody as a whole for those looking for a solution to get into better shape. The fact I am making a good chunk of change by helping people in the BeachBody opportunity adds value to the BeachBody opportunity for those looking for a solution to a long time desire to be self employed, or for extra money or even a solution for a desire to make millions doing something they love. The fact that there are fellow BeachBody coaches making nothing, or making an extra income, or making tens of thousands of dollars every WEEK while doing it PART TIME just goes to show the possibility is there without bias or prejudice for whatever you want the opportunity for.

3.) Skills! You must know what you are talking about. If you don't have at least a fundamental understanding of the products and services you represent then you will look un trust worthy and possibly even stupid when asked basic questions. It is fine if you don’t know a lot when you are first starting up especially in the BeachBody opportunity because you are part of a team of beginners and experts when combined have all the knowledge in the world about the products, services and the company. You just want to make sure that you are seeking out the knowledge so that you can begin to provide more attractive value in the eyes of people you talk to. If it’s been a while since you signed up and you still don’t have basic knowledge you won’t appear as a leader to your team. Don't be behind the learning curve in business. An economy rewards those who have skills that are valuable to the market place and then shows those skills to others. That is Economics 101 as basic as it can be in capitalism.

Now having one or two of the three characteristics (skills, value or personality) may move a few products here and there but if you can combine the three then you can't help but to WIN and you will probably never have to get another job for another employer that you do not like ever again. How sweet is that?

You may not believe this but I did not have ANY writing or talking skills when I started out a year and a half ago. There were others who started out about the same time I did, did nothing with it and are no further along than when they started. There are others like me who attended the BeachBody training calls, worked out regularly, read the material, asked questions, stayed connected to my up line and my down line, sought out the knowledge regularly and as a result I have a significant automatic deposit into my bank account every single week. I know this is cliché, but seriously if I can learn this stuff so can you.

If you already have a solution for reaching your dreams and it is working out as such then run with it! If you want a change in your life and you do not have a viable solution yet (it’s time for some affirmation in the truth) then I invite you to talk to me.

Tony Horton on the importance of YOGA X!

This is Tony Horton himself answering a question from someone asking if they could skip yoga and substitute something else in its place. I copied and pasted!

"Can I skip out on yoga and substitute Cardio X or Plyo?

My short answer is NO! No you can't skip out on yoga and substitute Cardio X or Plyo. These are not substitutes for yoga. They are completely different than yoga. Yoga's effect on your body is 180º from standard cardiovascular training and jump training. Each one of these routines feeds off the other. The crazy mix of routines creates the variety the body needs for real change and overall conditioning. The whole point to P90X is to work on your strengths and weaknesses. The fact that yoga is a pain in your butt right now is the reason why it will change your fitness, aid in your weight loss, make you less vulnerable to injury, and improve the effectiveness of all the other workouts.

Don't feel bad, because most people dislike yoga at first. It's the anti-American workout. No punching and kicking. No jumping, or running, or lifting, or dancing. It's slow and quiet and requires time and patience. It's the other side of a (complete fitness) two-sided coin. It's the yin to the yang. It's the tortoise not the hare. It forces you to look inward and not outward and/or all over the place for a change. Its balance, strength, coordination, and flexibility all wrapped in one, and sometimes all at the same time. It will and has messed with your mind like no other workout can. It's perfect! When you can turn this foe into a friend, then and only then will you be able to understand it and appreciate its purpose.

Does this mean you need to continue to suffer the way you have? No. You conquer (tame or understand) yoga by modifying it like any and all other routines that are difficult. If you don't want to do the whole 90 minutes then don't. Use your remote to help you decide which 60 minutes you feel like doing. Keep a secondary timer close by to keep track of the full hour. You also have to change the way you feel about the experience. Stop caring that you're not good at it and start understanding that the "struggle" is where the action is. The Struggle is how your mind and body change for the better. The Struggle is why you're doing P90X. The Struggle is the magic that separates the old you from the new you. Struggle but don't give up. The other short answer is... Do Your Best And Forget The Rest!"

I like things that work, don't you?

Whenever someone asks me why I am a team beachbody coach I have a tendency to go on and on about why I am a team beachbody coach. It's not hard to do that. Seriously, the coaching benefits are big and many it's easy to go on and on about it.

Today I thought of a simple reason to voice next time someone asks me why I am a beachbody coach and here it is... I like things that work! It is that simple. Whether it's my george foreman grill, a brilliant car that never has any problems, a fishing lure that brings in the biggest large mouth bass, or an exercise and nutrition program. When I come across something that works so amazingly well I want to share it with everyone.

When it comes to fitness there is nothing else out there that works as well as team beachbody. When it comes to a self employment business opportunity there is no better opportunity out there than the team beachbody opportunity. I mean think about it! I get to help so many people change their lives in meaningful and very substantial ways. Having an impact of that magnitude really motivates me and makes me feel awesome! I am a team beachbody customer and coach because their products work! Need proof? I am in the best shape of m life, easily. Look at my before and after picture. Amazing is it not? Now multiply that by a thousand just to get an idea of how great I feel on the inside because a before and after picture does not capture that.

If a product doesn't work then it's pretty much useless and if there is a business opportunity that comes with it then it's a sure way for business failure. There are plenty of fitness and business opportunities out there to research. 90% of new companies fail within the first year and more than half of the remaining 10% fail within the next few years. BeachBody has been around ten years and continues to experience growth because they keep coming out with programs and supplements that work and appeals to a very wide audience. It's a dream come true for both fitness enthusiasts and entrepreneurs.

To anyone wanting to get into better shape and feel great I invite you to try any one of the team beachbody fitness programs that have been proven to work with thousands of documented success stories including my own success story.

To anyone wanting to better their health AND take advantage of a business opportunity there really is no better opportunity out there because the end products work better than anything else in the market.

Reach out to me if I can be of help to you in fitness, or in both fitness and in business.
